Joe's Boats, houseboats rentals in baltimore maryland

FAQ: I'm Booked, Now What?

(Still thinking about staying with us?  View our Deciding to Book FAQ)

Are linens, bed sheets, towels, etc. provided?
Yes!  All of the cleaned and ready linens are provided for your stay.  Beds are already made and towels will be hung in the bathroom and kitchen.  There are also extra blankets for the pull-out couch if that is something you'll be using.

Are there nearby restaurants and grocery stores?

Across Boston St. is a Safeway grocery store for any week/ weekend grocery needs, it's easy to walk there depending on what groceries you'll be carrying back with you.  Within the marina complex, there are three different restaurants: The BoatHouse (burgers/ American grill), Bo Brooks Seafood (known for their Maryland crabs and outdoor tiki bar), and Button (opened July 2018, haven't tried it yet to comment any further).  Canton Square is a 10-15 minute walk away with a lot of great restaurant options, and within driving/ taxi/ Uber distance is of course the neighborhoods of Fells Point, Little Italy, the Inner Harbor, and Federal Hill!

What if we have more than one car?
We provide complimentary parking for ONE vehicle in the marina parking lot.  Additional cars can park in the same lot and pay the parking attendant directly as you enter and exit.  2018 prices are $6 for the first hour to $30/day.  Limited parking in the Canton area is available on the street and nearby garages, but be sure to read signage for restricted parking; we don't want you getting towed!

Is there a pool?

While there is a pool within the marina complex, it is a membership-only pool, and Joe's Boats does NOT have a membership. To view the city public pool schedules and locations, visit the Baltimore City Parks & Recreation website.

We're staying in the winter, is there anything additional we need to know?
Staying on the boat in the snow is pretty awesome!  We will coordinate with the marina for any snow shoveling that is necessary on the docks.

From November through April (depending on the year's weather) there is a fixed water supply for your stay.  The water is supplied through a 100-gallon holding tank on the boat, instead of free flowing through the normal pipes that could freeze/ burst.  This just means that while you're staying with us, you need to be aware of the length and number of showers, and monitor your use to be sure that you have enough water for your family, plus dishes/ sinks/ toilets.  In additional to the tank however, there is a marina boat house that can be used for showers if you're concerned.
